Zadina believes he is getting close to decoupling them. Fresno, CAOpponents and families involved in lawsuits against the makers of the chemical herbicide known as Roundup are hailing a “tentative decision” by a California judge based on written arguments to allow glyphosate to be added to the “list of chemicals known to the state of California to cause cancer” under California’s Proposition 65 (Prop 65). Prop 65 makes it mandatory for the California Office of Environmental Health Hazard Assessment (OEHHA), a division of the California Environment Protection Agency, to list all known cancer causing chemicals.
Monsanto Loses Labelling Battle in California – TentativelyRoundup has been manufactured and sold by Monsanto for decades and is registered for use in 130 countries. Gylphosate is the main ingredient in Roundup.
Monsanto vigorously opposes the Prop 65 listing. In a press release on its website Monsanto’s vice president of regulatory affairs, Phil Miller said, “Based on the overwhelming weight of evidence, regulatory agencies have concluded for more than 40 years that glyphosate can be used safely.”
In March 2015, Roundup was identified as “a possible human carcinogen” by the International Agency for Research on Cancer (IARC), a branch of the World Health Organization, based in Lyon, France. IARC reported that “there was limited evidence of carcinogenicity in humans for non-Hodgkin lymphoma”. It reported its research showed “glyphosate also caused DNA and chromosomal damage in human cells”.
It was that study that prompted the OEHHA in California to propose glyphosate be added to its list of Prop 65 chemicals.
At least sixty individuals or surviving relatives have launched lawsuits against Monsanto claiming that Roundup caused them to develop cancer.
More than a dozen families, and lawyers who represent them, gathered outside the Fresno Superior Courthouse on January 27, 2017 while the Monsanto lawyers were inside making oral arguments against the Prop 65 glyphosate listing.
Among them was 69-year-old John Barton, a third generation farmer from Bakersfield, California with stage three Non-Hodgkin’s Lymphoma who has launched a personal injury suit against Monsanto.
“As long as I can remember we have used Roundup on our farm,” Barton told a crowd of reporters. “It is my deepest desire that no one else has to hear the word ‘cancer’ because of exposure to a known carcinogen.”
Attorney Robert Kennedy Jr, from the firm of Kennedy & Madonna based in New York, who has a 30 year history of litigating against polluters and corporate wrongdoers currently represents some of the Monsanto litigants.
Speaking about Monsanto’s objection to the Prop 65 listing in California Kennedy said, “Monsanto does not want farmers, landscapers and other applicators to know about that risk (of cancer).”
During the Fresno court proceedings Monsanto told the court that warning labels would likely turn away consumers and that the company would suffer financially. Monsanto’s issued a press release prior to the hearing saying, “The conclusion from the IARC meeting in France was erroneous, non-transparent and based on selectively interpreted data. We are bringing this challenge forward because this intention to list is contrary to science.”
The tentative decision to add glyphosate on the state’s list of cancer causing chemicals is echoing across the country. The Organic Consumers Association, a non-profit advocacy group focused on health and justice issues and a long-time opponent of the use of Roundup and glyphosate sees the Prop 65 as a significant event.

Consolidation Granted for Monsanto Roundup Lawsuits
“This is important. It may influence Environmental Protection Agencies in other states to do similar. It is also important to those individuals involved in lawsuits against Monsanto,” says Alexis Bader Mayer, the political director with the Organic Consumers Association.
The judge’s ruling is still only tentative. She is now considering the oral arguments and will issue a final ruling sometime in the near future. Monsanto has issued a statement saying it will appeal any final decision to add glyphosate to the Prop 65 list.
In the meantime, an OEHHA media relations person, Sam Delson, told LAS the department would be awaiting the judge’s final ruling in Fresno and will consider all the options before formally adding glyphosate to the Prop 65 list.

, A PRESTIGIOUS MEDICAL JOURNAL, HAS JUST CLASSIFIED SODIUM FLUORIDE AS A NEUROTOXIN.
The movement to remove industrial sodium fluoride from the world’s water supply has been growing in recent years, with evidence coming out against the additive from several sources.
Now, a report from the world’s oldest and most prestigious medical journal, The Lancet, has officially classified fluoride as a neurotoxin, in the same category as arsenic, lead and mercury.
The news was broken by author Stefan Smyle and disseminated by the Facebook page Occupy Food, which linked to the report published in The Lancet Neurology, Volume 13, Issue 3, in the March 2014 edition, by authors Dr. Phillippe Grandjean and Philip J. As noted in the summary of the report, a systematic review identified five different similar industrial chemicals as developmental neurotoxicants: lead, methylmercury, polychlorinated biphenyls, arsenic, and toluene.
The summary goes on to state that six additional developmental neurotoxicants have also now been identified: manganese, fluoride, chlorpyrifos, dichlorodiphenyltrichloroethane, tetrachloroethylene, and the polybrominated diphenyl ethers. The authors added that even more of these neurotoxicants remain undiscovered.
Also in the report, they note that neurodevelopmental disabilities, including attention-deficit hyperactivity disorder, dyslexia, and other cognitive impairments, are now affecting millions of children worldwide in what they call a “pandemic of developmental neurotoxicity.”
In the Lancet report, the authors propose a global prevention strategy, saying that “untested chemicals should not be presumed to be safe to brain development, and chemicals in existing use and all new chemicals must therefore be tested for developmental neurotoxicity.”
They continue:
“To coordinate these efforts and to accelerate translation of science into prevention, we propose the urgent formation of a new international clearinghouse.”
The report coincides with 2013 findings by a Harvard University meta-analysis funded by the National Institutes of Health that concluded that children in areas with highly fluoridated water have “significantly lower” IQ scores that those who live in areas with low amounts of fluoride in their water supplies.
Sodium fluoride in drinking water has also been linked to various cancers. It is functionally different than the naturally-occurring calcium fluoride, and commonly added to drinking water supplies and used by dentists and in dental products who posit that it is useful for dental health.
Currently, fluoride is added to water supplies across much of North America, but as this list of countries that ban or reject water fluoridation shows, the practice is actually not too common, or banned entirely throughout most of Europe and in several other developed nations across the world.

Designer of HPV Gardasil vaccine says it’s neither safe nor effective
Dr. Diane Harper, professor and chair of the Department of Family and Geriatric Medicine at the University of Louisville, specializes in human papillomavirus (HPV) and the diseases associated with it. As principal investigator of the clinical trials of Gardasil and Cervarix, vaccines against HPV, Dr. Harper was instrumental in getting Gardasil approved.
So it should give parents pause that, beginning in 2009, Dr. Harper has questioned both the safety and effectiveness of Gardasil. In stating her misgivings, Dr. Harper has appeared at the International Public Conference on Vaccination, a conference held by the the anti-vaccine group National Vaccine Information Center, and in an anti-vaccine film, The Greater Good:
Citing research, Harper states Gardasil has been associated with at least as many serious adverse events as there are deaths from cervical cancer each year, and that the risks of vaccination are underreported.
Nor is Gardasil effective in preventing HPV infection because the infection can take decades to develop, as explained below. Getting routine pap smears is more effective in early detection and thus, treatment of cervical cancer.
As Dr. Harper explains in the video clip above, of all the women who get an HPV infection:
Approximately 70% of them will clear that infection all by themselves in the first year, without the HPV infection being detected or treated.
90% of the women will clear the infection within two years.
By three years, only 10% of the original group of women will still have an HPV infection, half of whom (i.e., 5% of the original group of infected women) will have progressed into a pre-cancerous lesion.
Among this small group of women who have developed a pre-cancerous lesion, it’ll take 5 years for the lesion in about 20% of these women (i.e., 1% of the original group of infected women) to become cancerous.
Among this very small group (1%) of women whose lesion has become cancerous, it takes 5 years for 20% of this group (i.e., 0.2% of all women infected with HPV) for the cancerous lesions to develop into invasive carcinomas, and as long as 30 years for 40% of the women with cancerous lesions (i.e., 0.4% of all women with HPV infection) to develop into invasive carcinomas.
In other words, in the very small number of women (0.6%) infected with the HPV virus whose lesions became cancerous, it takes 5 to 30 years for the infection to develop into invasive carcinomas. But whatever data there is on Gardasil shows that its effectiveness lasts only 5 years.
The above statistics prompted Dr. Harper, in a 2011 NPR interview, to argue against mandatory HPV vaccines for girls because, in her words, “95% of women who are infected with HPV never, ever get cervical cancer” because their immune systems are effective in killing the virus.
That is also why, as reported by Sharyl Attkisson for CBS in August 2009, Dr. Harper questioned the CDC’s recommendation that the series of HPV vaccine shots be given to girls as young as 11-years old. Harper said:
“If we vaccinate 11 year olds and the protection doesn’t last… we’ve put them at harm from side effects, small but real, for no benefit. The benefit to public health is nothing, there is no reduction in cervical cancers, they are just postponed, unless the protection lasts for at least 15 years, and over 70% of all sexually active females of all ages are vaccinated.”
Why Dr. Harper waited AFTER Gardasil had been approved by the FDA to come clean about the vaccine’s risks and ineffectiveness is a mystery.
Lastly, here’s another good thing that President Trump has done — he’s asked Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. to chair a presidential commission on vaccine safety. Both Trump and Kennedy have questioned whether vaccines cause autism and, not surprisingly, are mocked by the MSM.
